For more than 18 years Kim Tavares has been a trusted advisor to clients providing CFO and business advisory services to real estate investors, entrepreneurs, and established business owners in many different business sectors.

She began her career as a forensic accountant and certified valuation expert working alongside attorneys specializing in business valuation for buy-sell agreements, shareholder disputes and mergers and acquisitions.  She has also worked with family law attorneys serving as an expert witness providing litigation support and forensic analysis for dissolutions of marriage.

With years of knowledge valuing businesses in all sectors, Kim took this skillset and launched one of the first outsourced CFO companies in Southern California in 2008.

As CEO of PacWest Accounting Kim works closely with clients to strengthen their financial positions by reducing costs and better manage their working capital.  She developed proprietary technology designed to leverage clients’ data, improve the quality and timeliness of their financial information with the goal of reducing accounting errors that impede effective and timely decisions.

Over the past decade Kim’s primary focus has been in the real estate sector providing CFO advisory services including transaction due diligence, asset management, construction and property accounting.  She has worked with real estate investors to close over $500 million in real estate transactions.

She leads a team that executes day-to-day accounting from high level functions such as financial analysis on the sale or buy side of a real estate transaction and construction budget management to everyday full cycle accounting services.

With over 25 years of accounting experience, Sharon has an extensive public accounting and audit background.  She has also held a Corporate Controller position overseeing financial reporting and supervising staff at a multi-million-dollar Real Estate Company.  Sharon’s many years in audit have allowed her to be a valuable resource to PacWest’s clients in the areas of internal controls and fraud prevention. 

At PacWest Accounting, Sharon overseas construction and real estate development clients and recently managed the accounting for a 715,000 square foot $100 million construction project in East Vale, California.  She oversees all aspects of the construction payables process and facilitates the preparation of loan draws.

Judi has been with PacWest Accounting for over 10 years supporting the team and clients by developing and implementing a streamlined structure and organizational office processes that ensure productivity and efficiency and to enhance the client experience and relationship. 

Samih Tabora leads the PacWest team’s accounting services division providing financial consulting to clients in many different industries.  He has extensive knowledge and experience assisting business owners and managers with critical issues including revenue recognition, design of internal controls and complex reporting.  In addition, Samih works with real estate developers providing construction accounting, facilitating construction loan draws, construction budget, assistance in obtaining financing, including forecasting and projected statements of income.  His expertise includes extensive knowledge for those accounting clients performing public works projects where prevailing wage rates apply in the state of California.

Megan works with clients preparing daily cash balances and reports, accounts payable, weekly check runs, vendor maintenance and payroll processing.  She also works with real estate clients’ management teams as tenant interface to coordinate new tenant turnovers including maintaining utility changeovers and site visits with various vendors.
